About Yuan Farm
Be a Mother of Nature and a Child that Loves the Earth
Yuan’s biggest concern is to protect and treat our Earth well. Many just talk about environmental protection to help lands recover from harm, but have no actions thus far. But now we are working with a pure natural field, so we should make our wish come true and protect our lands.
Yuan believes in reincarnation. When we respect the origin of nature, nature will return the favors; on the other hand, karma always comes back to you in either good or bad ways. For instance, chemicals for planting kill you slowly and mudslides from over-settling on the hills. If we can let the land grow in a natural way and an appropriate timing, without disobeying the rules of nature, we can always be the mother of Nature and raise up kids on Earth. It is how we pay it forward.
The Mutual Relationship between Human and Lands
We share our love to plant on Yuan Farm. Fertilizers are made by local residents from Jinshan. Our herbalists have no farming experiences, thus, they don’t have “experience” to farm in a commercial way but use the most basic ways to farm in the national park. They are like prehistoric humans, and use their arms to move rocks around, remove weeds by hands and hand craft rocks into rocky stairs on the fields. They also just use their own knives to cut off wild weeds that were taller than us to tidy up the herb garden. However, we still don’t use any mechanical equipment to settle this land, but only human hands and farmer’s hats. To balance the ecology, we breed bees and develop germination and pollination; to nourish the land, we make our own fertilizers with the help of fallen leaves and earthworms.
On the farm, “symbiosis” is the top “wisdom” and “favors of love” are the combination of things and oneself.
